A caring connection is made each time we reach out with caring.
Share That You Care Community Program invites schools and other youth groups to incorporate the Caring Coins into their community service programs. An important part of any volunteer experience is for the participants to appreciate the full meaning of the caring connection…what it means to the individuals they are reaching out to as well as to themselves. The Caring Coins are a lasting reminder of the caring connection for each participant.
Caring Coins have been shared in community service projects for our troops, children in need, persons in shelters and many others.
A Youth Group Director writes:
"Thank you for the Caring Coins you sent with our youth group when we went to New York to volunteer. The kids were especially touched by the homeless population they met at the shelter where they worked. On the last day they handed out the Caring Coins to someone who touched their hearts. Some went to homeless adults and others to children from at risk families. The response was amazing: several people had tears in their eyes just knowing someone cared. One of the teens said: It's awesome to be able to share and connect with someone: a simple gift of a coin made such a huge difference."
